IT Solutions & Project ManagerBusiness analysis, digital transformation and technical delivery
Nineteen years in IT. Eight of them running the services company I co-founded in Damascus, then leading development teams, branch operations and client projects across the Gulf, Europe and the Middle East. Most of my work sits between the business side and the technical side: working out what is actually needed, then delivering it with a team.
Arabic native. English professional working proficiency. German B1 (TELC, February 2025), studying towards B2.
How I work
Three steps, in this order
Most projects I take on start the same way. Someone knows what is going wrong but not what to build. The first part of the work is answering that, and the rest follows from the answer.
Understand the business
I talk to the people doing the work, map how the process runs today and find where it breaks.
Choose and design the solution
I weigh the options against the budget, the team that will maintain it and what the business will need in a few years, then plan the implementation.
Deliver it with the team
Milestones, resourcing, testing, reporting and handover, so the result is something the business can run without me.
What I work on
Six areas I am hired for
Business analysis and requirements
Stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and turning what a business asks for into requirements a developer can build from.
IT solutions and technology choice
Solution design, feasibility, platform selection and integrations, with the technical choice tied to what the business actually needs.
Project management and delivery
Planning, milestones, resourcing, Agile and Scrum practice, stakeholder coordination, testing and reporting.
Team leadership and operations
Hiring, interviewing, mentoring and performance reviews, and running multidisciplinary teams through team leads.
Digital transformation and automation
Replacing manual workflows with systems, process improvement, API integrations and automation that holds up in daily use.
Web platforms, e-commerce and technical SEO
WordPress, WooCommerce, LearnDash, multilingual platforms, site performance, technical SEO and analytics.

About
Hi, I'm Nabil
I am originally from Syria and I have worked in IT since 2007. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Engineering, which the ZAB has evaluated as comparable to a German Bachelor's degree.
The part I enjoy most comes before the code: sitting with a business, understanding how it really runs, and deciding what should be built. The delivery side comes from years of running teams and being the person accountable when a project is late.
ZAB-recognised IT degree. TELC German B1. Arabic native, English professional.
Questions I get asked
Before you write to me
Part-time or full-time?
Both. My residence permit (Chancenkarte) currently allows up to 20 hours a week, plus trial periods of up to two weeks per role. Full-time becomes possible once the permit is converted into a work permit, which happens after a qualified job offer.
Which languages can you work in?
Arabic and English at working level. German is at B1 (TELC, February 2025) and I am studying towards B2, so I manage day-to-day German but work in English or Arabic.
Is your degree recognised in Germany?
Yes. The ZAB evaluated it as comparable to a German Bachelor's degree, and I can send that evaluation with my application.
Berlin only, or remote?
I live in Berlin and prefer roles here, on site or hybrid. I have worked remotely with clients in Dubai, Sweden and Germany for years, so fully remote works too.
Looking for my next role in Germany
IT project management, business analysis, digital solutions or technical web work. If that is what your team needs, write to me and I will answer the same day.
