Corsica — Design, Exhibition & Event Company Website
From a blank brief to a live WordPress site representing two offices and a growing project portfolio, built and launched in six weeks.
Freelance WordPress build for Corsica, a design, exhibition-stand, interior fit-out and event company headquartered in Erbil, Iraq, with a branch in Damascus, Syria.
The brief
Corsica builds physical things — exhibition booths, interiors, architecture — and needed a website that could show that work convincingly: a real project portfolio organized by category, a presence for both the Erbil head office and the Damascus branch, and a structure their own team could keep updating with new projects without needing a developer for every change.
What was built
Content architecture: before any design work, I mapped the site around how Corsica actually sells — a portfolio structured by project type (booth & exhibition stands, interior & exterior design, architecture) rather than a generic "gallery," with a dedicated project layout that team, services, and contact pages all point back to.
Build: a WordPress and Elementor implementation on a customized construction/exhibition-industry theme base, adapted to Corsica's brand rather than left as a stock template — team profiles, a two-office contact section (Erbil head office plus the Damascus branch, each with its own phone and address), and a client-facing "Get a Quote" flow.
Handover: the portfolio and services sections are structured so Corsica's own team can add new projects and update content directly, without needing a developer involved for routine updates.
Where it stands
The site has been live and in active use since launch, with the project portfolio growing as Corsica completes new booth, interior and architecture work. Verifiable at corsicaiq.com.
